COVID-19 UPDATE:
We will be taking precautions as recommended by the Whatcom County Health Department and will do everything we can to keep our customers and our contributors safe and healthy. When attending the market, please wear a face mask and keep social distancing in mind.
We are honored to be providing fresh, affordable, local food to the community in these trying times, and we are so grateful for your support!
ABOUT
The market features locally grown vegetables, flowers, fruits, and other goods from over 10 growers and producers in Whatcom county. We are dedicated to increasing food access in our neighborhood by providing fresh, sustainably grown produce at a reduced price. We are happy to accept EBT and we do a "market match" program which is designed to make healthy produce more affordable, so if you are using EBT your money goes twice as far; you get 50% off your total purchase of fresh fruits and vegetables!
OUR GROWERS
The cooperative nature of the Birchwood Market creates an environment where local farmers can share resources, connect with the community, and move forward towards the common goal of stronger small-scale, local agriculture.
The market was made possible with the generous support of the Food Coop's Farm Fund program, the Park Manor Shopping Center, and all of our wonderful growers.
